The Beginning
The universe was created out of nothing from a single point of light. This nothingness is called the “world without end”.
The World without end was filled with infinite Light. The Light then contracted into a single point, creating primordial space. Beyond this point nothing is known. Therefore this point is called the beginning. After the contraction, the World without end emanated a ray of Light. That ray of Light expanded rapidly. All matter emanated from this point”. Isaac Luria; 16th century kabbalist.
In the beginning there was no empty space, light emanated from an infinite force of energy, the essence of which is fullness, bliss, fulfilment. All the good that can be imagined is included in that energy. Everything positive was and is included in that energy. In Kabbalah it is called First Cause or simply Light.
The First Cause has in its nature, the desire to give and share infinitely to itself. That is its essence. Like the Sun, which gives its light continuously, the First Cause needs to give.
In it is contained all that is good, the opposite of chaos. It is happiness, love, fulfilment, security in all areas, freedom, wisdom…
But in order to give, the First Cause needed to find someone with the desire to receive. Humanity is made of desires, we men are pure desire. In order to complete the act of giving, a receiver, a vessel, was created.
The vessel has an infinite desire to receive. And any desire to give from the First Cause meets its desire to receive from the vessel.
The pot is traditionally called the “First Effect”…
We are the first effect and are made to receive all the good that emanates from the First Cause. For that reason, all our actions are attempts to seek that First Cause or Light. When the act of giving and receiving is balanced, harmony is achieved….
The Light contains the attributes of the Creator, or universe, etc…just as the light of the Sun is not the Sun, the Light or First Cause is not the creator, that is beyond our comprehension.
However, that force of Light is a reflection of the attributes of the Universe or Creator or Infinity….
Light has the power to satisfy each and every human desire….
What prevents us from continuously accessing it? Exists there Light in this world?
First we must be clear about two concepts…that of the 1% world and that of the opponent….
